Dr. Louis W. Leggio and Mary Lynn H. Leggio Medical Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship support to students exhibiting financial need and academic achievement who are legal residents of Louisiana eligible for in-state tuition. It is the Donors’ preference that an amount equaling up to ½ of the current full cost of attendance for up to two students be awarded and that the scholarship is renewable for each subsequent year of medical school, provided the recipient(s) remain in good standing. It is further the Donors’ preference that if in the future, the funds in this endowment
equal an amount that will support the full cost of attendance for at least one student, the funds be used for that purpose. If spendable funds remain after awarding
according to the above preferences, or if there are not sufficient funds in the spendable account to meet the above preferences, the Foundation may award partial
scholarships to students meeting the same criteria.
