David L. Autin, MD, Scholarship

The David L. Autin, MD Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial support to medical students with demonstrated financial need to assist with the cost of tuition.
First preference shall be awarded to an applicant with a demonstrated financial need who is from a rural area.
Second preference shall be awarded to an applicant who is a first-generation medical student with a demonstrated financial need.
Third preference shall be awarded to an applicant who is a graduate from University of Louisiana at Lafayette or a graduate from Nicholls State University with a demonstrated financial need.
Fourth preference shall be awarded to an applicant with a collegiate sports background with a demonstrated financial need.

If none meet the first, second, third, fourth preferences, the fund shall be awarded to a medical student who meets 2 of the 4 with demonstrated financial need.
