Grace Voigt Scholarship D3 Students

The late Ms. Grace Voigt served as Director of Student Affairs at the LSU School of Dentistry from 1968-1992. In her honor, the School of Dentistry Alumni Association established the scholarship fund. The scholarship honors 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students in the Dentistry Program who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, concern for fellow students and patients, high ethical standards, and dedication to the profession of dentistry. The scholarship is a one-time award and receipt does not imply a continuation for the following year. Because this scholarship is an award based primarily on professionalism and leadership, the criteria for qualification is as follows:

• Professionalism, as reflected in the opinion of the Dean of Admissions, the Director of Student Affairs and, the personal knowledge and experience of the members of the Scholarship Committee
• Leadership, as evidenced by election to class or Student Government Association
• Academic Average
• Financial Need
