David L. Autin, MD, Scholarship

The purpose of the David L. Autin, M.D. Scholarship is to provide financial support for an incoming freshman student in LSU Health School of Medicine with demonstrated financial need by assisting with the cost of tuition. The ideal candidate will be from a rural area, be a first-generation medical student, be a graduate of the University of Louisiana Lafayette or Nicholls State University, and have a collegiate sports background. If none meet all of the requirements, the fund shall be awarded to a student in the LSU Health School of Medicine who meets two of the four criteria with priority given to those candidates meeting the first two criteria.
