Timothy Ware Schurtz Memorial Scholarship

In 1975, the family and friends of Timothy Ware Schurtz, an out­standing freshman at LSU Health School of Medicine until his untimely death, established the Timothy Ware Schurtz Memorial Scholarship Fund in his memory. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a rising second-year student) in the LSU Health School of Medicine who has shown academic merit, character, and financial need.
