George Haik, Sr., MD Memorial Scholarship Fund

The George Haik, Sr., MD Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor Dr. Haik by his nephew, Raymond Haik, M.D. (’79). Dr. Haik was a leading ophthalmologist in New Orleans and was Chairman of the LSU Department of Ophthalmology for many years. This scholarship benefits deserving students entering their 3rd or 4th year (rising 3rd or 4th year) who are interested in studying Ophthalmology and have demonstrated financial need.
