Michael J. Sampognaro, MD ('84) Scholarship

The Michael J. Sampognaro, M.D. (’84) Scholarship was established to honor the esteemed physician. The scholarship will support a 3rd or 4th-year student at LSU Health School of Medicine who is looking to enter the field of Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine. The student should be hard-working, inquisitive, and exhibit excellent diagnostic skills. The student should be highly respected by his/her peers and be recognized for leadership qualities.
